About Me:

Angelo and I met my freshman year in college. We dated seven years before finally getting married in downtown Fort Worth. We tried to incorporate both cultures into our special day.

We began in the morning with a traditional Vietnamese ceremony and ended in the evening with dinner and dancing under the stars to celebrate the beginning of our new lives. I married the man of my dreams and I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful way to share. I hope you enjoy looking at our pictures!

Something old: I pinned a piece of my mother's wedding gown inside the lining of my dress.

The boys played poker to pass time before the ceremony and Angelo put our rings in the pot. Not funny.

Vendor List

Photography: Perry Aslyn Photography

Amazing! Ross and Jenn are a pleasure to work with and I love the pictures they took. We ended up not taking many posed pictures at all because I was so nervous before the wedding. I was really happy with the way they managed to capture the day.

Flowers: www.Aprilmayjunedesigns.com

April did a great job. I thought my bouquet was the most beautiful one I'd ever seen.

DJ: Melody and Memories (Lori)

I was happy overall. She did a good job and the guests seemed to like her. However, one of the first songs she played after opening the dance floor was "Born in the USA". My husband is Vietnamese and most of his friends and family are from Vietnam and other parts of the world. This song cleared the dance floor fast! It makes a funny story, I guess.

Wedding Coordinator: Kristin with www.simplyperfectweddings.net

Fantastic! Kristin did a wonderful job. She took care of everything and seemed calm and collected the entire day. I found out later about many things that went wrong that she took care of without having to bother me. She is definitely worth every penny.

Hair and Makeup: Kim at Shelton's/Michelle with Michi Hair Design

Updo: Kim at Shelton's Salon in Fort Worth. She is my regular stylist and did my highlights a few days before. She did my updo and I thought it was perfect for the Vietnamese ceremony.

Half-up: I loved my hair! I was very picky and Michelle was patient with me and fixed it just the way I wanted. I really liked the way the airbrush make up looked in photos.

Ceremony Venue: Marty Leonard Chapel

They were pricey but polite. They had a lot of rules about what I could and couldn't do. But, it was beautiful and I would use them again.

Reception Venue: Renaissance Worthington Hotel in downtown Fort Worth

Again, pricey but I loved the outdoor venue. I really wanted to get married under the stars and they have a terrace on top of the hotel. It was so romantic! The trees are lit and there are fountains along the front. It was exactly what I wanted. The food was better than I expected. We had so many compliments on how good everything tasted. The lady I worked with was very accommodating and the service at the hotel is really good. I don't think you could have a big wedding here without a coordinator because the "on site" wedding coordinator only popped in a few times throughout the night. I would choose it again.

My Dress: Moonlight in ivory.

I had it altered to make it strapless so it doesn’t look like the picture online.

Bridesmaid's Dresses: Aftersix 6244 in New Garnet

We ordered them from www.bestdridalprices.com and had a great experience.

Alterations: Becky Fowler

This lady is a doll and did a great job altering my dress. I actually went to another place first and they told me that it would be impossible to make my dress strapless. So, I went to see Becky and she did it with no problem. I plan to use and recommend her for everything.

Chocolate Fountain www.gourmetchocolatefountains.com

The fountain arrived on time and the set up was beautiful. It was definitely a hit with our guests.

However, when I was calling around looking for fountains I specifically asked for a vendor who could provide a fountain outdoors. I detailed my situation and Mark assured me that he has done outdoor fountains before and it would be no problem. I paid the full amount, signed the contract, and filed it away. Two days before my wedding he called and started asking all these questions that we had already discussed and informed me that he could not do the fountain outdoors without a covering of some sort. I freaked and called Kristin. She took care of everything but I found his behavior unprofessional. It caused much unrequired stress and left me with the feeling that he told me what I wanted to hear so that he could get my money.
